Mini Backpacking Experience
(one night)
Time to “just do it!”

We will gather on Friday and divide into small groups, prepare our packs, equipment and food for backpacking, plus enjoy each other’s company with songs, games, maybe skits.
Saturday morning we will backpack to back country sites to camp in tents or 3-sided Adirondack shelters.

- planning your campsite
- pitching tents
- filtering/treating water
- hanging “bear bags
- sleeping comfortably
- hiking and working as a group
Sunday, we will hike back to the trail head and head home by 1:30 p.m.
After registration, you will receive a complete list of what to bring with you. The Committee will provide food for Saturday and Sunday as well as tents, stoves, and group equipment.

Fee: $22.00 per person.
Pre-registration required.
Please indicate on the registration form if you need a Girl Scout backpack and if you desire a medium or large backpack (medium for small/petite girls or very petite women (under 5’4″); large for all others).
